Fun with inflation: January 20 Update

Today I found no eggs. No bacon. And no toilet paper.

The eggs I understand. Apparently there is a nationwide shortage due to avian influenza. But I’m left curiously horrified as to how the pigs play into this equation.

And the toilet paper.

What the hell were they all doing? Is the animal kingdom secretly having their own superspreader freak off Diddy parties?

Whatever it is, here on Inauguration Day are the new price updates of all eight items I’m tracking this year at my neighborhood Kroger. Only one item changed. Understandably, it was the eggs. They went up $0.50.

Moot point. There weren’t any.
